ABOUT.
Sinem Mei started her career in the show business more than a decade ago with poi and juggling and soon after she became a professional fire dancer. During her first years as a jongleur/showgirl , as a part of Cultural Capital of Europe Artist Swap Project in 2010 she gave workshops and performed in Istanbul’s sister city Pecs allowing her to sow the seeds of her international journey early on.
She worked with dozens of corporate brands and attended multiple European juggling conventions, facilitated workshops and performed at openings, festivals, TV shows, music videos and all kinds of events.
In 2011 she started her 4 year residency at Supperclub Istanbul, where she was not only performing but also designing her own costumes, which led her discovery of her passion for costume design, making her stand out amongst other dancers and fast forward to today having her own line for festival accessories and headdresses called Felina.
Following years, poi and juggling slowly turned into club dancing with extraordinary costumes where her style slowly evolved from fun & freaky to feminine & sexy. She adapted this newfound persona into her skilled fire shows, which made her drop jaws at every event she graced and made her a favorite in Istanbul’s club scene.
Around 2016 she kept working in big and popular night clubs in Turkey until she realized her job as a club performer and her passion as a music lover weren’t completely in line. Luckily for her she was already known and experienced enough to be able to choose jobs where she loved the vibe and could enjoy the music while having fun.
Not only her bedazzling looks but her brains, personality and aura helped her expand her network. Her vibe attracted promoters worldwide allowing her to perform at events of her liking, where she felt like she belonged, like The Gardens Of Babylon parties, The Monastery Festival and Mayan Warrior parties in locations like Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Tulum...
Oliver Koletzki, Damian Lazarus, Seth Troxler, Mira, Rampue, Satori, Behrouz, Nico Stojan, Oceanvs Orientalis, Sebastien Leger, Ame, Bob Moses, Whomadewho, Sabo, Parallells, Elif and Spaniol are not only but a few of the musicians she loves as an artist and had the chance to perform alongside on stage. Her admiration and appreciation of their music is visible in her performance and her flow while she’s sharing the spotlight with them.
